Call for Proposals

Thank you for your interest in presenting at the 2027 CISC Symposium. We invite proposals that inspire, challenge, and connect participants through meaningful learning experiences aligned to our conference strands:

Cultivating Joy in Learning - Cultivating Curiosity and Inquiry - Cultivating Belonging  and Community

We encourage interactive sessions that elevate the voices of educators, students, families, and community partners while providing participants with practical tools, strategies, and opportunities for reflection and connection.

Presentations should highlight effective practices, lessons learned, innovative approaches, or successful work being implemented in schools and educational systems. Sessions may not be used as sales presentations, product demonstrations, marketing opportunities, or advertisements for commercial products or services.

Please note that proposals will only be accepted from school districts, individual schools, or county offices of education serving as the lead presenter. If a company, nonprofit, or other external organization is participating in the presentation, its organizational affiliation must be clearly identified within the proposal.

New this year: Flexible learning session formats

In an effort to create a learning experience that meets the diverse needs and preferences of symposium participants, this year's conference will feature a variety of session lengths and formats. We recognize that meaningful learning can occur in many ways, from brief opportunities for networking, reflection, and inspiration to deeper workshops that allow participants to engage in extended exploration and application.

As you prepare your proposal, we encourage you to consider the session length and format that best aligns with your intended learning outcomes and participant experience. Whether you are facilitating a quick strategy share, an interactive dialogue, a student-led conversation, or a hands-on workshop, we invite you to design an experience that maximizes engagement and impact for attendees.

Proposals due by Sept. 15, 2026.
