Join in on a group experience in Downtown Monterey. Discover some of the amazing local history of Monterey. Select from two self-guided tours. There is so much to learn.

Old Monterey 

Explore the history of early California on a self-guided walking tour of Monterey. Get to know Monterey a bit better and discover some of California’s most historic homes, buildings and beautiful gardens along the way. Choose to follow the map or scan the qr codes at each location to learn more. Along the way from 8:00am-12:00pm - the first 100 CISC participants can visit free:

 

  • Stevenson House, an 1840s adobe where famous author Robert Louis Stevenson lived. 

  • Larkin House, the 1830s home of American businessman and diplomat, Thomas Oliver Larkin.
